By Michael d’Oliveira (mdoliveira@tribune.com) August 17, 2011
Djenane Gourgue came to the United States from Pétionville, Haiti in 1989. To help students in Pétionville continue their education, Lauderhill Sister Cities International is organizing a book drive. Gourgue, vice president of Lauderhill Sister Cities, came up with the idea. Books, she said, are not something students in Haiti can take for granted.
